Debut 2019

Debut Festival is an annual event showcasing the exciting work of emerging theatre-makers on East 15's celebrated BA Acting & Contemporary Theatre course. Each year, the festival acts as a platform for new plays written, directed, produced and performed by final-year students.

In recent years, Debut Festival productions have transferred to multiple venues, including Bush Theatre (Yvette), Stratford East (Yokes Night), New Diorama (Testament), The Space (The Dip), King's Head Theatre (Buzz), Barbican Centre (Crystal Me), Southwark Playhouse (Bound) and many more.

Plays from Debut Festival have also travelled as far afield as the USA, South Africa, Poland, Ireland, France and Australia.

Accolades received by past productions include the Stage Best Ensemble Award, Soho Young Playwright of the Year, and the Scotsman Fringe First Award, amongst many others.
